Quiet mountaintop vista
Come escape to this newly-renovated 2/2, close to Morganton, Lake James, several breweries and wineries, a wedding venue and all the hiking and other outdoor activities in the state park the property backs up against. The house boasts every modern comfort you would need to work or play if you don’t want to unplug, but this house was meant to be enjoyed outdoors. The hot tub, screened porch, and fire-pit offer the perfect setting to enjoy the tranquility this house provides. *please note that the WiFi is satellite and while it is generally reliable, we are off the beaten path and cannot guarantee 100% uptime.

Good to know
This is a 2/2 ranch with master bedrooms and bathrooms on either side. There’s an office, with a work station and arcade in the middle. A kids hangout, with a bunk bed is across the hall from that. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, but Uber eats and instacart will deliver. The living room has a shuffle board table and tv for entertainment. And the unit has a washer and dryer if needed. Outside is where this place really shines though. The hot tub and firepit are the perfect spots to relax and take in the magnificent valley and long-range mountain views.
Other Details to Note
The tv and internet are not always 100% reliable, it seems. We’ve had both looked and tested, and we have never personally had an issue, but it has been sluggish or spotty for several of the guests. I would say about 20% of the time. Unfortunately I think it’s the product of being on a mountain, relying on satellite. If you’ll need 100% uptime, please be aware of the limitations.
