6280 High Mountain Road

Welcome to your romantic mountain escape! This cozy retreat is perfect for couples seeking peace and stunning views.

Arrival Information

Check-in Time

4:00 PM - Your door code will be sent via your booking platform before arrival.

Check-out Time

10:00 AM

Early Check-in / Late Check-out

We try to accommodate as best we can, but we want our cleaners to have ample time to prepare for other guests, so it's not always possible. Please ask and we'll try! If you know you'll need early/late times, you can request ahead and we can often block off the time for a fee.

Getting Here

The road to the property is easy to navigate. No 4WD needed.

Navigation Tip: We recommend using Google Maps for the most accurate directions. Save directions before heading up the mountain as cell service can be spotty in some areas.

Before You Leave

  • Hand-wash any dirty dishes and leave them to dry (no dishwasher at this cabin)
  • Take out any trash to the outdoor bins
  • Turn off lights, fans, and heaters
  • Make sure the hot tub cover is on
  • If you used the wood stove, ensure fire is fully out
  • Lock all doors

Please Keep in Mind

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted inside the property. You may smoke outside, but please dispose of cigarette butts properly.

Pets

Pet policies are specified in your booking. If pets are allowed, please keep them off furniture and clean up after them outside.

Noise

Please be respectful of neighbors, especially after 10 PM. Sound carries in the mountains!

Septic System

This home is on a septic system, so please help us keep it healthy: only toilet paper goes down the toilets β€” no wipes (even "flushable" ones), paper towels, or feminine products β€” and please don't pour grease or food scraps down the drains.

Wildlife & Bears

You're in the mountains, and black bears do occasionally pass through. Spotting one is a treat β€” a few simple habits keep everyone safe:

  • Never leave food, coolers, or trash outside or on the deck overnight.
  • Keep the outdoor trash bins closed and latched.
  • Enjoy wildlife from a distance β€” never feed or approach animals.
  • Bring smaller pets inside at night.

Maximum Occupancy

This property sleeps 2 guests. It's designed as a cozy couples retreat.

Water Note: This property is on a rainwater collection system. We supplement and make sure there's plenty for each stay, but please be mindful of your usage. If you notice any leaks, please let us know right away.

Staying Connected

WiFi

This property has Starlink satellite internet, which provides fast and reliable speeds - great for streaming and remote work.

  • Network: 6280wifi
  • Password: 62806280
Note: Being in the mountains, we're occasionally subject to weather-related interruptions, but downtime is rare.

TV

The living room has a 33" TCL TV with a Roku stick. YouTube TV is already logged in for your convenience - feel free to use it for live TV and streaming!

Important: Please do not log out of the YouTube TV account.

You can also log into your own Netflix, Hulu, or other streaming accounts. Just remember to log out before you leave!

Using the Hot Tub

Your private hot tub is located on the deck with breathtaking mountain views - perfect for a romantic evening!

Temperature

  • The hot tub is maintained at approximately 95Β°F
  • To adjust temperature, use the controls on the side of the tub
  • Allow 2-3 hours for significant temperature changes

Jets & Lights

  • Jets: Press the Jets button to activate. Press again to change intensity or turn off.
  • Lights: The light button cycles through colors.

Hot Tub Etiquette

  • Please shower before getting in the hot tub. Dirt, body oils, lotions, and sunscreen can contaminate the water and clog the filters. A quick rinse keeps the tub clean for everyone!
  • No glass containers near or in the hot tub
  • Replace the cover when not in use to maintain temperature

Water Care

We add a little extra chlorine to keep the hot tub clean and sanitary for every guest. If you ever notice a strong chlorine smell, just lift the cover and run the jets for a few minutes to circulate and air out the water. If you're staying longer than a couple of days, you're welcome to add a chlorine tablet to keep the water fresh.

Pro Tip: The hot tub is best enjoyed at sunset or under the stars - the mountain views are spectacular from here!

Towels

Hot tub towels are provided. Please use designated towels rather than bath towels.
